Chic wedding in Yvelines: refinement and elegance

Thanks to our expertise, we are often involved in the organization of weddings, like this chic wedding that took place in the Yvelines region of the Paris region on July 1. To build this beautiful wedding project, we worked hand in hand with the wedding planner agency La Cabane Blanche. Discover what we did for this unconventional pastel wedding.

A chic wedding in the Paris region

The wedding, which took place in Méré in the Yvelines department, was attended by between 400 and 500 guests. The bride and groom chose a sober, pastel theme for a chic, elegant wedding. For Atawa, the challenge was to provide infrastructures that matched the bride and groom's wishes for a far-from-standard wedding, with no sit-down meal but rather a cocktail reception. The bride and groom wanted several areas where guests could circulate freely, with pedestal tables, high tables, lounge areas... A relaxed yet refined atmosphere for this wedding in the Yvelines.

Setting up tents for the wedding reception

For this chic wedding reception in Yvelines, we set up a 15m x 25m (375 m²) crystal tent. This tent housed the party and reception area, with a rain option in case of bad weather. For the bride and groom, everything had to be perfect, and nothing had to overshadow the most beautiful day of their lives!

To adapt to the sloping terrain, we installed level flooring. A team of decorators covered the crystal tent, skirting the floor and covering the poles with a curtain effect. A partition was installed at the back to conceal the 75 m² floor-mounted catering tent. Finally, to access the tent from the terrace of the house, we installed a terrace at the entrance to the tent, and to access the garden from the tent, we made custom steps with railings.

We also installed 2 nomad stretch tents for the lounges.

Lighting for a chic wedding

For the lighting, we created a festive yet chic atmosphere, with a starry sky under the crystal tent and garland around the nomad tents. Above the central bar, we installed a carousel linking the crystal tent to the nomad tents. As night fell, guests enjoyed the subdued ambience to continue the festivities in the same natural, refined tone.

A wedding reception in the form of a cocktail buffet

Atawa took care of all the furniture installation. In keeping with the bride and groom's wish for a non-standard wedding reception, we supplied different types of furniture to create different areas. For the lounge areas, we opted for Bali-style furniture: sofas, poufs, armchairs... The idea of these lounge areas was to promote guest comfort in a style that was always chic. We also installed cane tables and rattan furniture for a relaxed atmosphere. For the comfort of guests, we added changing room racks and a sanitary trailer.

Adapting to constraints for a successful wedding

As usual, Atawa demonstrated its ability to adapt to the constraints set by the bride and groom. Their wish was to hold the wedding reception on the family estate, a private property not used to this type of event. A complex request: not only was the land on a slope and access complicated, but the guests were numerous.

We also had to adapt to the vagaries of the weather. To ensure that rain didn't spoil the wedding, we designed the project around two layout options: a fair-weather option, and a foul-weather option. In the event of bad weather, we were able to increase the tent area to accommodate everyone, but this required some adaptation in terms of the tent covering and the starry sky.

As we wanted to organize a chic, original and successful wedding, we proposed original furniture. The bride and groom were delighted with the facilities we provided and the natural, pastel atmosphere we created in line with their wishes.
