Adequate equipment for live broadcasting of a sporting event
Faced with the health situation, gyms have had to adapt to offer sportsmen and women new ways of practising their yoga and other sports. Lululemon asked Atawa to help with the video capture and live broadcast of the yoga session.
Lululemon was keen to maintain a connection with its community during the health crisis by offering online yoga classes. In order to maintain a relaxed and zen-like atmosphere, a video recording system was installed in the yoga studio itself. The recording was done with sophisticated equipment: 3 cameras, several microphones, as well as amplifiers and speakers playing zen music during the session. In order to offer the best possible experience to the athletes, LED panels were also installed, highlighting the yoga teacher and the surrounding decor of the studio.
The practice of yoga requires meditation and therefore concentration, so everything has been done to ensure that yoga enthusiasts are immersed in a zen atmosphere, and that they can fully enjoy their disconnection from their living room.
A digital and interactive yoga session
In order to ensure the best possible image and sound quality, the organiser and Atawa agreed on comprehensive support and a whole series of tests beforehand to ensure that the streaming was perfect. In addition, a video control room with a computer, a monitor and a director was set up to ensure the smooth running of the yoga session and to make it dynamic. Yogis, whether beginners or experienced, were able to follow the postures performed by their teacher and the explanations given by the latter, thanks to the perfect quality of the image and the sound system throughout the course.
A broadcasting platform adapted to the course: streaming on zoom
Streaming on Zoom was very effective in captivating and above all seducing the participants. Indeed, the athletes could interact with their teacher thanks to the live broadcast of the event on Zoom. If Lululemon opted to broadcast their yoga class on Zoom, it was also possible to broadcast it on platforms such as youtube or Instagram for example.
All these relaxation and concentration sessions took place at the Yoga studio in Châtelet Paris on 10 December 2020. The reactivity and professionalism were there. These yoga classes were a success because they showed that nothing can stop the determination of a teacher and sportsmen ready to give everything for the practice of their favourite sport! With the help of professionals, everything becomes easy despite the health crisis.
